2015 H-D Dyna Low Rider revealed with new paints schemes
Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider

Harley-Davidson’s Dyna-frame motorcycles made their debut in 1991. Since then, the Dyna series has been synonymous with old-school styling and the new Dyna Low Rider is no exception. While the 2015 model doesn’t seem any different from the previous model, it does get three new liveries to join the three existing ones.

The Dyna Low Rider is traditional in every aspect, but without the bulk or bling of its flamboyant cousins. The three existing paint schemes have now been joined by deep jade pearl, white hot pearl/blue hot pearl and black magic livery. The new model is 10kgs heavier than the previous model, though we aren’t sure where they have been added.

The Twin Cam 103 engine of the Dyna Low Rider gets a black and chrome treatment to give it a dark look. The 1,690cc air-cooled powertrain churns out 126Nm of torque through a six-speed Cruise Drive transmission and is rubber-mounted to reduce engine vibrations. Spoke wheels are offered as standard, though you can also opt for the optional five-spoke cast aluminium alloy wheels. The Dyna Low Rider gets a coil-over suspension at the rear and meaty 49mm forks in the front.

The Dyna Low Rider is equipped with a two-into-one exhaust system, which either gets a chrome or matte black treatment, depending on the paint scheme. The instrument cluster is positioned on the fuel tank for easy access to the readings. A handlebar riser allows 60mm of fore and aft movement according to the comfort of the rider.

In terms of equipment, the Dyna Low Rider gets an H-D Smart Security System and ABS. Like with the rest of its line-up, Harley-Davidson offers a host of customisation options like a windshield, dead pedals and custom seats. Harley-Davidson hasn’t listed the price of the new Dyna Low Rider on its official website, though a report says that it has been priced at EUR 15,995 (Rs 12.54 lakh) in Germany. It rivals other cruisers like the Triumph Thunderbird and the Suzuki M1800R.
