Hero
Hero MotoCorp unveiled a range of motorcycles and scooters for the Indian market at the 2014 Auto Expo. Along with these models, the company displayed the 1190RX and the RS from Erik Buell Racing.
Both the bikes are here as a part of brand building exercise for the company. During long term, these bikes will help the company change its image from its ‘mass market’ bikes to ‘performance bikes’. In fact, with the unveiling of the HX250R and the Dastur concept, the perceptions of consumers are already changing.
The EBR 1190RX is powered by 1190cc V-Twin liquid- cooled engine that churns out 185bhp at 10,600 rpm and 137.8Nm at 8200 rpm. It also comes with a lot of rider-focused features as well. The mill is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 190kg. It gets the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 120/70 ZR-17 tyre at the front and 190/55 section at the rear.
Will the EBR 1190RX will ever be launched in India? Well, it is a track machine and will rule that area. But the racing enthusiast will be very happy if this bike is launched in India.
