Yamaha Motor India has unveiled the concept model of the R25 for the Indian market at 2014 Auto Expo. Yamaha says that the production version of the R25 concept will be a superbike that you can ride every day.
The Japanese maker hasn’t revealed much information about the technical aspect but it will sport a new liquid cooled twin-cylinder 250cc engine. The six-speed gearbox from the concept motorcycle will be carried over to the production variant.
The engine is seen mounted on a tubular diamond frame unlike the current R15's which uses a deltabox chassis. The front suspensions, however, are the traditional telescopic ones and are a little beefier than those on the R15.
We are expecting the production version of the R25 will go on sale in a years’ time. Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get the developments of this bike.
