Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has unveiled the CBR650F motorcycles at the 2014 Auto Expo. This bike was first unveiled at an EICMA event few months ago along with its naked sibling, the CB650F.
The CBR650F sports the 650cc inline-four setup which supports low and medium engine speeds offering everyday usability and brilliant efficiency (21kmpl).The bike gets a new aluminium swing arm, preload adjustable rear shock and owing to European regulations, ABS as a standard fitment and clip on handlebars.
The bike is powered by a new 649cc DOHC unit that is good for 87bhp at 11,000rpm and 63Nm at 8,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and stopping power in the front is provided by a pair of 320mm discs with traditional two-piston calipers. The display console is digital with white backlight and both in the front and back get ample LED lights.
The CBR650 price hasn’t been disclosed yet but the company has confirmed that this motorcycle will be locally produced in India by 2015.
