Harley Davidson Auto Expo
Harley-Davidson will finally launch their most awaited motorcycle, the Street 750 at the 2014 Auto Expo. The cruiser that was first unveiled at the 2013 EICMA event is based on the company’s new ‘Street’ platform, a first in 14 years.
The American manufacturer showcased the Street 750 in India during the 2014 India Bike Week that concluded few days ago. This model along with the Street 500 are very important for the company as they are expected to gain volume sales in developing markets like India. The Street 750 will be priced below Rs 5 lakh on-road and will be sold in two colour options - black and red.
Along with the Street 750, the company will showcase the Street 500 as well but won’t launch it. The company has confirmed to launch this model in mid-2015 with a very attractive price. We can also see the entire 2014 range of Harleys that was revealed few months ago in US. The Fat Bob, Fat Boy, V-Rod, Forty-Eight and the Electra Glide will be part of this 2014 range. We are expecting Harley-Davidson to launch these 2014 models with the same price like the current models if it decides to go through completely-knocked-down (CKD) route.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details from the 2014 Auto Expo.
