Japanese electric vehicle maker Terra Motors will unveil a new model Kiwami on January 28. The company has announced this development through their official Facebook page. Kiwami means extreme in Japanese.
Terra Motors will debut in the Indian market at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo. The company will display its primary models, the A4000i at this grand event. The scooter is the world’s first wireless smartphone connected two-wheeler. All the riding information will be transmitted through an Apple iPhone and data can be monitored via the internet. The scooter currently supports only Apple’s iPhone 3, 3G, 4 and 4S. The company also has the A4000 version which doesn’t require an iPhone.
The A4000i is powered by a 48V lithium battery that weighs 16kg and can takes around 4.5 hours to charge fully. The battery, developed in house, will help the scooter do an estimated range of 65km in one full charge and has a lifetime of 50,000 km. The scooter weighs around 118kg and has a top speed of 65 kmph which is quite decent for a city riding conditions.
Let’s wait and watch how this new Japanese electric vehicle maker will be able to price their models considering the fact that their battery has been developed in house and is not very expensive to buy.
