Triumph Motorcycles crossed the landmark of 50,000 sales this year. Around 85 per cent of the sales made by the British manufacturer were from the motorcycles exported globally.

The 111-year-old company announced that they sold 52,089 motorcycles worldwide for the financial year from July 2012 to June 2013. The manufacturer made sales of 48,957 units during the corresponding period in the previous year. With a turnover of 603 million dollars, they recorded a 7.6 per cent hike over 2011-2012 sales figures.

Outside UK, Triumph has around 750 dealers spread in 35 countries from where most of the sales of motorcycles have been made. Sales of products from the three factories in Thailand have added to 61 per cent of the company’s overall annual turnover.

Triumph set up assembly plants in Brazil and India this year. It entered the Indian motorcycle market recently by launching a wide range of motorcycles. It also has plans to sell motorcycles in China and Indonesia soon.
