Hero MotoCorp unveils facelifted Karizma and ZMR motorcycles

Hero MotoCorp, earlier known as Hero Honda, has showcased a completely new version of its performance motorcycle, Karizma and ZMR, today. The new motorcycles are basically cosmetic upgrades that are part of Hero’s bid to refresh the entire line-up including the Splendor, Pleasure and the XTreme.

The new Karizma R sports a new bikini fairing whereas the ZMR continues to be a fully faired motorcycle. The completely new body design includes changes to the front fairing, headlamps, instrument console, tail lamp console and graphics. Both the bikes also get LED brows integrated into the front fascia keeping in sync with the latest trend. Hero has not fiddled around with the power train and it continues to be powered by the same single cylinder 223cc OHC 4-stroke petrol engine.

Karizma, first launched in May 2003, was the first big capacity performance focused motorcycle to be launched in the country, ticking off the performance biking culture here. This upgrade comes six years after the last upgrade, the Karizma R, in 2007. The ZMR was launched in September 2009 as an upgrade of the Karizma R.

Hero has not revealed the prices of the new line-up and the same will be announced in the coming weeks along with details of the new motorcycles and scooters.
