BMW Motorrad will be launching the F 700 GS in India post monsoon. The motorcycle has already replaced the F 650 GS in the international markets and will be soon seen on the Indian shores. As per our source, the motorcycle has already reached ARAI facility in Pune for homologation and is in the process of getting necessary approvals.

The F 700 GS is powered by a 798cc water-cooled two-cylinder engine that churns out 75bhp of power at 7300rpm and 77Nm of torque at 5300rpmm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has the capability to attain 192kmph.

The motorcycle features the anti-lock-braking system (ABS) as standard equipment and gets the electronic suspension adjustment (ESA) and automatic stability control (ASC) as option. With so many features, a rider will have a safe as well as a comfort ride with this motorcycle. The F 700 GS has a dry weight of 209 kg which is little bit on the heavier side and has a usable tank capacity of 16 litres.  The Enduro motorcycle will be available in three colours – Red Apple metallic, masculine Ostra Grey metallic matte and dynamic Glacier Silver metallic.

Currently, the BMW dealers are selling the last lot of the F 650 GS which at around Rs 11 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai making it a very expensive motorcycle to buy .The price is twice the amount of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 which is the most affordable touring motorcycle in India. Once launched, we can expect the F 700 GS to be priced Rs 2 lakh more than its outgoing sibling.
