Honda India launches CB Trigger motorcycle in North-East

Honda India has launched the CB Trigger motorcycle in the North-Eastern market .The motorcycle has been priced between Rs 70,315 and Rs 79,900 in the various North Eastern states.  With the new launch Honda is aiming to capture 20 per cent of the 150cc market in the region.

In order to gain more brand image in the region, the Japanese maker is organising a rally from Guwahati in Assam to Tawang via Bombdila in Arunachal Pradesh. They are also in process of inviting current Honda owners for the ride.  The company will also be adding around 3 to 4 more dealers which will take the total to 21 dealerships in the region.

The CB Trigger which competes directly with the Yamaha FZ Series, TVS Apache RTR and the Pulsar 180 is powered by a 150cc single cylinder air-cooled engine which produces 13.81bhp at 8500rpm and 12.5Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The motorcycle which replaced the CB Unicorn Dazzler has a fuel efficiency of 60kmpl and is the first motorcycle to feature the Combi Brake System (CBS) which is optional.

The North East region has always been a little behind in terms of development when compared to the rest of the country. However the growth has now pickled up and Honda is aiming to capitalise on the opportunity by gaining early-bird advantage.
