2013 Daytona 675 and Street Triple to be unveiled on 17th January

Triumph will be unveiling the new Daytona and Street triple on 17th January. The company claims to have been extensive updates on both the motorcycles.

Both the motorcycles have been updated with lighter wheels, narrower frames and new swing-arm. The under seat exhausts have been repositioned for more responsive handling and more agility.

The new Daytona 675 is more powerful than its older version. The new Daytona 675 produces power of 128bhp as compared to 125bhp which the older version produced. The torque has been increased from 73Nm to 75Nm. It is also available in R version.

The Street Triple is powered by 675cc liquid-cooled in-line 3 cylinder which produces 105bhp at 11850rpm and peak torque of 68Nm at 9750 rpm. The engine is mated to six-speed gearbox. This motorcycle also features aggressive headlights and is available with R version.

Triumph in India might start booking from March 2013, as the dealers have almost finalized and the operations will start by end of first quarter. The first batch of all Triumph will be available as completely build unit (CBU) and then as complete knock down (CKD) once the company starts its assembling plant in Narasapur, Bangalore.

The company launched the Daytona 675 for Rs 7 lakh and Street Triple for Rs 5.75 lakh during the 2012 Delhi Auto expo. However, we have to wait and watch which year model the company will launch in India.
