TVS may finalise technology partnership with BMW

TVS Motor confirmed that it expects to finalise a partnership with BMW for collaboration in two-wheelers, before the end of the ongoing fiscal. “Talks are on (with BMW) and we expect something to materialise before the end of the ongoing fiscal," TVS Motor Co president (marketing) HS Goindi.

However, the nature of this deal with BMW is still unknown and the company officials decline to comment on it. BMW has been selling high end motorcycles in India since 2010, while TVS has expertise in mass market two-wheelers ranging from 80cc to 180cc. This new pact is expected to give TVS access to BMW’s technology to setup higher displacement motorcycle for India.
