About Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic
\Built on a Softail (ST) chassis, the Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic is a traditional cruiser which harks back to the traditional ‘hardtail’ choppers from the 1960s. The Heritage Softail Classic has its rear shocks hidden under the transmission, which give it the look of a rigid suspension motorcycle, but is a lot more comfortable than one. Complete with the ‘Heritage’ styling, great ergonomics and a comfortable ride, the Heritage Softail Classic is one of the best classic cruisers you can buy in the segment.
The Heritage Softail Classic has been designed to resemble traditional choppers with the acres of chrome, tall handlebars, a big 7-inch ball headlamp and an old-school 18-litre fuel tank which also houses the big rev counter and gear display. For the comfort of the passenger, the bike gets a comfortable step up seat with back rest.
Harley-Davidson offers loads of optional extras with the Heritage Softail Classic, to customise it according to your taste. You can equip the bike with saddlebags, fenders and a detachable windshield among others. For the wheels, customers can either opt for the steel-laced wheels on blackwalls with a chrome hub or chrome laces and wide whitewalls.
The Heritage Softail Classic is powered by an air-cooled 1690cc engine Twin Cam 103 Heritage engine. This chromed big twin-cylinder unit churns out 65bhp and 130Nm of torque through a six-speed ‘Cruise Drive’ gearbox with a wet multiplate clutch. The engine gets modern touches like Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection which make the engine more reliable as well as result in refined power delivery.
The Heritage Softail Classic also gets a Smart Security System and Anti-Lock Brakes for smoother and more confident stopping power. It is offered in many paint schemes like cosmic blue pearl, vivid black, billet silver, olive gold, superior blue, purple fire/blackberry smoke, crushed ice pearl/frosted teal pearl and amber whiskey/vivid black and goes up against other cruisers like Triumph Thunderbird Storm and Moto Guzzi California.
